| God wants everyone to know him, so all things created teach us something about him. <ref>{{bgw| Ro 1:20 }} For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: </ref> We don't learn from hands, feet, air and earth by looking at them, but by what God says about them; by the symbols.
| |
|
| |
| These are symbols we know from other places:
| |
|
| |
| :Hands represent works. <ref>{{bgw|Ps 92:4 }} For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.</ref> <ref>{{bgw| Ps 111:7 }} The works of his hands [are] verity and judgment; all his commandments [are] sure.</ref>
| |
| :Feet represent your life. <ref>{{bgw| Eze 33:15 }} [If] the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.
| |
| {{bgw| Joh 8:12 }} Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. </ref>
| |
| :Air is the spirit. ''ruach'' רוח - spirit, air, breath
| |
| :Earth is the flesh. Earth, ground ''adamah'' אדמה , man ''adam'' אדם
| |
|
| |
| The flying thing was created to fly or live in the air representing spirit. Instead, it swarms on the earth, symbolizing things that follow the crowd on earth. There is an old saying, "If it is popular, there is something wrong with it. The insects we can eat teach us things we should learn. The animals that creep will list things we shouldn't follow.

|
| |
| '''Swarming and reproducing'''
| |
|
| |
| A flying thing is something intended for the air, or spirit. A crawling thing represents someone behaving selfishly or 'in the flesh'. It would appear that the the flying things that crawl should be living as though they love God but who have chosen to live and work loving themselves first..
| |
| <ref>{{bgw| Le 11:20 }} All fowls that creep, going upon [all] four, [shall be] an abomination unto you.</ref>
| |
|
| |
| When the hands (works) and feet (life) are in the flesh (on the ground), it is an abomination. Flying things are supposed to be living in the spirit. It is worse when they reproduce or multiply children of the flesh. People who choose to live in the flesh and raise children in the flesh, should not be our teachers.
| |
| <ref>{{bgw| 1Ti 3:4,5 }} One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; 5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)</ref>
| |
|
| |
| * '''creep''' ''sherets '' שׁרץ - multiply
