Greeks trust the 'priesthood' or self-appointed experts. Scholars quote others scholars endlessly, and it would seem that their invented issues solved by the doctoral theses wend themselves into the mythology of the church.
- The debates concerning 'sensus plenior' during the last century concluded with a whimpering confession that they could not read the Old Testament the way the Jesus and the NT authors did; wondering if they would ever understand.
