Trusting the priesthood [∞]

Greeks trust the 'priesthood' or self-appointed experts. Scholars quote others scholars endlessly, and it would seem that their invented issues solved by their doctoral theses naming each other, wend themselves into the mythology of the church.

- The debates concerning 'sensus plenior' during the last century concluded with a whimpering confession that they could not read the Old Testament the way the Jesus and the NT authors did; wondering if they would ever understand. Can you trust those who admit that they cannot read the Bible properly? How did they become the priests of Evangelicalism? A prominent 'theologian' from Dallas said, while refusing to look, "I will not look at something that is not there, when presented with evidence of the mystery. [1]

Here we say that all are under the scrutiny of scripture and the rules for interpretation[1]. Scholars are not apostles! [2] But even a child may challenge an interpretation under the rules. [3] [4] [5]
