Jesus said all the scriptures speak of him. when he read of Samson, he did not see Samson, but himself. What did he see?
▸ ± Jud 13:2 And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name [was] Manoah; and his wife [was] barren, and bare not.
- Zorah צרעה - leper צרע in hiding ה.
- leper צרע - berth צ()ע revelation ר. Distress or enemy צר of the flesh ע. The righteousness exchanged for sin צ with an emphasis on the evil רע.
- Danites דני - judges. Judge דנ creation י.
- Manoah מנוח - rest. From מ Noah נוח.
At a time of great wickedness in Israel, God chose a man to give it rest, who was in the land of sin and was a judge. His wife is part of the 'Barren woman/virgin' pattern.
▸ ± Jud 13:3 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou [art] barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son.
The woman is promised a child by God's intervention. This is a hint of being born of the Spirit and a prophecy of the Virgin Birth.
▸ ± Jud 13:4 Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean [thing]:
- wine 'yayin' יין - sym. grace. Creation x2 יי heaven and earth followed by the death of the Son of Man ן.
- strong drink 'shekar' שכר - wages. Sym. law. Hedging שכ revelation ר. Increase of the word ש by the butting lamb כר.
- unclean 'tame' טמא - Sym. something you should not learn. Holy א marriage ט promised by the Father מ. Riddle: Jesus was taking our sin before the cross and being made to be sin. His bride did not learn from him (they did not understand, believe and get saved). He was 'unclean'.
The son, from conception would not learn grace or law since he was the author of grace and law. He was born 'sinless' never having been exposed to 'unclean' things.
{{bgw| Jud 13:5 | For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.
- razor 'mowrah' מורה - from the father מ clarifying ו soaking רה.
- head 'rosh' ראש - Sym. authority. Discern רא the increase of the word (church).
