Day 20: Presentations, Course Review, and Closing Reflections

๐Ÿ”น Concepts Outline

  • This final session is a celebration and affirmation of the journey.
  • Students will present or share their final project reflections, tracing the cross through their chosen narratives.
  • The class will also review key concepts and share personal testimonies of discovery.
  • The course concludes by emphasizing that sensus plenior is not just a method โ€” it is the voice of Christ through the Word.

๐Ÿ“– Teaching / Review

Begin with a reminder:

โ€œWere not our hearts burning within us while He talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?โ€ (Luke 24:32)

This course has been a walk on the Emmaus road โ€” learning to hear Christ in the Law, Prophets, and Writings, and now in the Gospels and beyond.

Review key course pillars:

  • Letter Symbolism โ€” Every letter reveals part of Christโ€™s mission and the brideโ€™s response.
  • Gate Direction and Formation โ€” Two-letter gates, word structures (ab-c, a-bc, a()c-b), and reversals reveal deep truths.
  • Symbol Families โ€” Water/Word, Hand/Work, Bride Types, etc., which organize recurring images across Scripture.
  • Narrative Patterns โ€” From Cain and Abel to Tamar and Peter, the arc of the cross repeats.
  • Fulfillment in the Gospels โ€” The Gospel writers applied this very method after being taught by Christ.

Now, each student has begun to walk this path.

๐ŸŽ“ Student Presentations

Each student or group will:

  • Share 5โ€“7 minutes on their project
  • Highlight one narrative that surprised or impacted them most
  • Reflect briefly on how this course changed their approach to Scripture

Encourage celebration, reflection, and thanksgiving.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Group Closing Questions

  1. What has changed most about the way you read Scripture?
  2. A/B: Do you feel more like a student of the Word or a listener to the Spirit?
  3. What symbol, narrative, or pattern will stay with you the longest?
  4. How will you continue practicing sensus plenior after this course?

๐Ÿ  Individual Meditation (Homework)

  • Choose one new narrative and quietly reflect: โ€œWhere is the cross hidden here?โ€
  • Journal Prompt: โ€œWhat do I now believe about the Bible that I didnโ€™t believe ten weeks ago?โ€

๐Ÿ“˜ Facilitator Notes

  • Be present. This is a deeply personal day for many students.
  • Affirm every student. Focus on clarity and growth, not correctness.
  • Close in worship, prayer, or communion โ€” reinforcing that the voice of Christ continues.
  • Optional: Commission students with a symbolic blessing (e.g., hands washed, word given, letter anointed).

โ€œAnd beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.โ€ โ€” Luke 24:27
