Introduction to formation []

Discussion

Formation is the name used for the process to build the Hebrew aleph-bet from yods י and vavs ו around a square_template.
It is also used to describe the progression used to build words from letters; first in 2-letter gates, then decorating the gates with a third letter in different positions to form roots.

Finally, formation is joining letters, gates and roots to form longer words.

Notarikon is the opposite of formation. It is the discerning of meaning of words from the letters and gates within words.
