Proposed Creed: The Humility of the Son of Man
- We believe in the One True God, who spoke and revealed Himself to man.(Deuteronomy 6:4, Hebrews 1:1-2)
- We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of Man, who, though in the form of God, chose to empty Himself.(Philippians 2:6-7, John 1:14)
He did not grasp at equality with God, but humbled Himself, taking the form of a servant.
(Philippians 2:7, Matthew 20:28)
He had no place to lay His head, choosing the path of obedience over earthly comforts.
(Matthew 8:20, Luke 9:58)
He did not establish a household on earth, for His true family are those who do the will of the Father.
(Matthew 12:50, Mark 3:35)
He submitted to the will of the Father, drinking the cup given to Him in obedience.
(Luke 22:42, John 6:38)
He lived as the Son of Man, relating to our suffering, yet without sin.
(Hebrews 4:15, Isaiah 53:3)
He gave His life as a ransom for many, demonstrating the love of the Father.
(Mark 10:45, Romans 5:8)
By His death, He sealed the covenant in His blood.
(Luke 22:20, Hebrews 9:15)
By His resurrection, He secured the redemption of His bride.
(John 14:2-3, Ephesians 5:25-27)
He ascended to the right hand of the Father, where He intercedes for us.
(Romans 8:34, Hebrews 7:25)
We await the day of full redemption, when He comes for His bride in glory.
(Revelation 19:7, Matthew 25:10)
Until that day, we follow His example, walking in humility and love.
(John 13:34-35, 1 John 2:6)
Amen.
