📖 A Special Story in Luke 22:7–13
Jesus told Peter and John to get the Passover meal ready. But this isn’t just a regular meal—there are hidden meanings in the story! Let’s look at each part and see how it shows us more about Jesus and God's love.
🍞 1. The Pure Bread
It was the Day of Unleavened Bread. In the Bible, leaven means teaching.
So unleavened bread means:
Jesus didn’t learn from people—He taught only what God gave Him! He is the pure Bread from Heaven, with no human teaching mixed in.
⚖️ 2. Peter and John: Justice and Mercy
Jesus sent Peter and John to get things ready:
- Peter stands for justice (what’s right)
- John stands for mercy (kindness)
Jesus brings both justice and mercy together!
That’s what He does on the cross.
💧 3. The Man with the Water Jar
Jesus said they would meet a man carrying a jar of water. That seems like a small detail, but it's special!
- The man represents Jesus
- The water means God’s Word
It shows us that Jesus carries the full truth—justice AND mercy—all in one!

The man leads them into Jerusalem, a name that means "teaching of peace."
Jesus brings His message into the city so that people can learn real peace—peace with God and each other.

The man brings them to a big upper room that’s already set up.
This room is a picture of the special place Jesus prepares for us— a place of peace, love, and being close to God.
It’s all ready because Jesus finished the work for us!

Jesus said to talk to the master of the house. That’s like talking to God the Father.
Jesus is the one who brings us to the Father.
He made a way so we can be at home with God.
