Introduction: Did you know that after Jesus rose from the dead, He helped His friends understand the Bible better? He showed them how stories from the Bible were really about Him! Each Gospel (Mark, Matthew, Luke, and John) tells us more about Jesus, just like when you learn something new and understand it better each time.
1. Mark – Meeting Jesus for the First Time Mark’s Gospel tells us about Jesus doing amazing things! He heals people, helps others, and shows us He is God's Son.
Supporting Evidence:
- Mark tells stories quickly and simply, showing Jesus doing powerful things like healing sick people.
- Sometimes Jesus tells people not to share who He is right away because He wants them to know Him better first.
2. Matthew – Jesus Keeps God’s Promises Matthew tells us how Jesus was the special person God promised to send. Matthew shows Jesus as a great king who came to save His people.
Supporting Evidence:
- Matthew has a family tree that shows Jesus came from important people like Abraham and King David.
- Matthew shows us stories from the Old Testament and explains how Jesus made God's promises come true.
3. Luke – Jesus Loves Everyone Luke tells us that Jesus didn’t come just for a few people but for everyone in the whole world. Jesus cares about everyone, especially those who are lonely or sad.
Supporting Evidence:
- Luke shows that Jesus is related to Adam, the first person ever, meaning Jesus came to help everyone.
- Luke tells stories like the Good Samaritan, showing how Jesus teaches us to care for everyone, no matter who they are.
4. John – Jesus, Our Friend and God John helps us see how special Jesus really is. He tells us that Jesus was with God even before the world was made, and He loves us so much He came to live among us.

- John calls Jesus the "Word," who was always with God. He helps us understand Jesus is God too!
- Jesus says amazing things in John’s Gospel like "I am the light of the world," helping us understand how wonderful He is.
Comparing the Stories: Each Gospel helps us see Jesus more clearly. Mark starts by telling simple stories. Matthew helps us see how Jesus fulfilled God’s promises. Luke shows Jesus loves everyone. John tells us Jesus is our friend and also God!
What We Learn: The Bible stories about Jesus help us know Him better each time we read. We see more clearly how much He loves us and cares for everyone.
