By the will of God

By the will of God []

Paul was chosen by the risen Christ to be an apostle. Sure, Jesus is God, but Paul says he was chosen by the will of God, which refers to the invisible Father.

How would he know that the Father chose him?

Just as Jesus has confirmation of the Spirit and the Father at his baptism, Paul has confirmation from Jesus and the Father. Obediah 1:1 appears to be a prophecy of both Paul and Christ.

Ob 1:1 []

± Ob 1:1 ¶ The vision of Obadiah. Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning Edom; We have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent among the heathen, Arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle.
