Another word that occurs only once in scripture is 'lilith' לילית. It is the name of an Edomite goddess night demon. It is translated 'screech owl'. It is surmised that this is the name of the first wife of Adam, and Eve was his second.
You can see how confused people get when they don't know what they are talking about.
A first wife?
Lillith was not the first wife of Adam. As he named the animals, a picture of Christ judging mankind, he did not find a suitable wife. The rabbis speculated many things, including that he 'married' each animal to see if it would work. He did not need to marry each animal, it was easy to observe that they already had suitable mates for themselves. This claim is not only silly on its face, but violates the rule or rigor .
The only verse in which the word appears is: ▸ ± Isa 34:14 The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest.
When Jesus met demons, they did not cry out "Are you here to give us rest?" That is a nonsensical idea arising from the pagan idea that some of the dead were cursed to wander the earth looking for rest that could only be satisfied by a cute necromancer that helps resolves their personal conflicts on television.
▸ ± Mt 8:29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
The formation of lilith לילית is this: 'grace (night) ליל of creation י finished by revelation giving life ת.'
It speaks of the day of the Lord's vengeance and recompense over the dispute of Zion. This is not about literal Israel.
Zion ציון - 'the exchange of sin for righteousness צ for creation י explained ו by the death of the son of man ן.
It is about the cross.
In that day:
- streams will be turned into pitch: the word will give life to the bride of the mystery.
- dust into brimstone: those without the word will pursue the mystery in revelation until it gives life
- The earth will become burning pitch: The earth will become a holy mystery bride of revelation.
- The holiness will not be quenched, the praises will not cease; none shall be cast out or leave.
In the context of the mystery, grace shall find rest, or not be needed, because all will be holy.
