Apologetics

Discussion

For 2000 years, 'apologetics' has been the practice of giving 'reasonable answers' to questions about the Bible. Reason is not sufficient to arrive at truth. Reason is not divorced from an understanding of truth, but by itself is insufficient.

In this work, 'apologetics' takes on a different meaning. It simply means teaching the mystery.

We have all been told that there is no such thing as a stupid question. This is false. Paul says that there are foolish questions. [1] Our first task is to determine if a question is foolish, then if it is not, simply teach the scriptures.

  1. Tit 3:9 ¶ But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
