All scripture speaks of Jesus []

The topic of Christ in the Old Testament is one of those that reveals theological arrogance. It is almost like talking to children.

"Did you clean the floor in your room?" "Yes. It is perfectly clean." "Why is there a truck in the middle of the floor?" "Oh, I didn't see it." "And the Popsicle stick there?" "I didn't see it either." "and...and ... and?"

"Oh, yes, I see Christ in the Old Testament; he's on every page. See, he is the second Adam." "That's the third chapter. Do you see him in Genesis 1? "Of course I do, the WHOLE Bible speaks of him." "I would be delighted if you would share what you see in Genesis 1." "I'm not going to play your game. The WHOLE BIBLE speaks of him."

How do you tell a blind man he is blind? Augustine blinded the church to what Paul calls the "mystery hidden from the beginning." He said the scripture should be interpreted literally unless it absolutely cannot be, then allegory was allowed.

How do we reconcile that Jesus said it all spoke of him? If it is a literal record, and it also speaks of Christ, the mystery must be hidden. There must be two layers.
