📖 1 Corinthians 2:7[edit | edit source]

“But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory.”

✝️ SP Summary[edit | edit source]

🔍 "We speak the wisdom of God in a mystery"[edit | edit source]

In SP, wisdom is not abstract philosophy—it is Christ crucified (1 Cor 1:24).

The mystery (μυστήριον) refers to what was hidden from the beginning—the cross, written into the structure of creation, veiled in symbols, riddles, and parables.

This mystery is the Word (דבר),

Spoken into tohu and bohu,

Hidden beneath names, numbers, and patterns,

And only revealed through death and resurrection.

In short:

The cross is the mystery. It is God's wisdom—not explained, but revealed.

🔐 "Even the hidden wisdom"[edit | edit source]

Hidden (ἀποκεκρυμμένην) = concealed, veiled from sight

This is not human ignorance—it is divine design.

SP reveals that the wisdom of God was hidden in the very words of Scripture:

  • In the letters (Aleph = creation, Tav = completion)
  • In the Word structures (ברא = the Son created)
  • In the patterns of sacrifice, exile, reversal, and resurrection

Even the Torah hides Him:

“You search the Scriptures… and they testify of Me.” — John 5:39

⏳ "Ordained before the world"[edit | edit source]

Literally: before the ages (πρὸ τῶν αἰώνων)

In SP, this returns us to Genesis 1:1:

Before the beginning (בראשית), the Son (בר) created (א) The cross is not an afterthought—it is the first thought

Creation is not the beginning of the plan

It is the stage prepared for the plan,

Which is: the Son would die and rise.

This is what was ordained before the world—that God would open a void within Himself, speak the Word into it, and from that speech would come resurrection glory.

🌟 "Unto our glory"[edit | edit source]

The mystery ends not in confusion—but in glory.

In SP:

  • Glory (כבוד) is the revealed presence of God—Christ fully seen.
  • Our glory is not in achievement, but in union—that we are joined to the Son, bone of His bone, flesh of His flesh.

He descended into vanity To raise us in glory

The bride’s glory is found in the revealing of the hidden Son.

🧩 Symbolic Table[edit | edit source]

Phrase SP Meaning
Wisdom Christ, especially crucified (1 Cor 1:24)
Mystery The cross, hidden in all Scripture
Hidden wisdom Christ in the letter, structure, and riddles of Scripture
Ordained before the world The cross planned before creation—revealed in בראשית
Unto our glory The bride is glorified by being joined to the Son

🔁 Gospel Echo[edit | edit source]

Before time began, the Son was chosen to be slain.

Before anything was made, the cross was hidden in the Word.

Before light was spoken, the Lamb was prepared.

And now—those who see the mystery are made one with Him in glory.

In One Line:

The cross is God’s eternal wisdom, hidden in creation, revealed through death, and destined for our glory.
