אז-זא

אז (Beginning – From Water):
- Structure: א (divine initiative, creation) + ז (bride of Christ).
- Meaning: אז represents the beginning of the bride of Christ from water, which still symbolizes the Word of God. The Word is foundational to the bride's formation, but now we can understand that the Spirit (fire) plays a role in the ongoing sanctification and purification of the bride. The Word of God (water) initiates her life and existence, but the Spirit (fire) is what refines and empowers her.
- Tone: The Word of God initiates life in the bride (water), while the Spirit, as fire, empowers and purifies her. The foundation is laid by the Word, but the Spirit brings about the transformation and sanctification.
זא Heat (Bride Made Holy from Heat):
- Structure: ז (bride of Christ) + א (divine speech, revelation).
- Meaning: זא represents the bride of Christ made holy through heat, with the Spirit as the fire that refines and sanctifies her. The Spirit refines the bride through the Word of God, purifying her and making her holy. The Spirit's work in the believer is one of purification, setting apart, and transformation.
- Tone: The Spirit, as fire, purifies the bride, much as fire refines metal. This heat is a transformative force, purifying and making the bride holy and ready for union with Christ.
Nuance of Reversal:
- אז (Beginning – From Water): The bride is born from the Word of God (water), initiating her life in faith. While the Word gives life, it is the Spirit (fire) that sustains and refines her.
- זא (Bride Made Holy from Heat): The Spirit (fire) refines the bride, purifying her through the Word of God, making her holy and set apart for Christ.
Practical Implication:
This pair portrays the dual role of the Word and the Spirit in the bride of Christ:
- Water (Word of God): The bride is birthed and nurtured through the Word.
- Fire (Spirit): The Spirit refines and purifies the bride, making her holy, set apart, and ready for her union with Christ.
