אב-בא

אב (Father):
- Structure: Starts with א (divine initiative, creation, foundational speech) and proceeds to ב (revealing, connecting, or dwelling).
- Flow of Meaning: אב symbolizes initiative of revelation. It represents the Father as the one who speaks and creates (א) and reveals Himself to man (ב). This is the act of taking the first step to establish relationship, authority, and provision.
- Tone: Initiative, responsibility, and care. It is outward-focused, emphasizing the act of giving or leading from a position of strength and authority.
בא (Come):
- Structure: Starts with ב (revealing, connection, or dwelling) and moves to א (divine initiative, creation, or foundational speech).
- Flow of Meaning: בא symbolizes an invitation. The order is reversed: the initiative now lies with the recipient, as they are invited (ב) to approach the divine source (א). It expresses a relational response or openness to receiving.
- Tone: Relational, receptive, and welcoming. It is inward-focused, inviting the divine or external reality to enter or engage.
Nuance of Reversal:
- אב (Father): Initiative flows from the divine outward, establishing a relationship. This shows God taking the first step to reveal Himself.
- בא (Come): Initiative flows from the revealed toward the divine, symbolizing a response or openness to God’s revelation.
Practical Implication:
The two gates form a relational cycle:
- אב shows God’s proactive work in creating and revealing Himself to humanity.
- בא shows humanity’s invitation to respond and come into relationship with God.
