Chapter 4: The secret keys to understanding God's word []

Anytime someone mentions the secret teachings of Jesus, there is panic in the mainline denominations and consternation among Evangelicals. They panic because they don't know his secret teachings. they panic because those promoting the secret teachings of Jesus have had free reign to teach whatever New Age or Gnostic gibberish they wished without anyone being able to challenge them.

Jesus taught his disciples privately. He taught them things that he did not teach publicly. They forgot what he taught because they had no idea of what the cross was all about, so they had nothing to connect Jesus's teaching about the cross.

The same people who panic over the mention of Jesus's secret teaching wish they had access to his teaching on the road to Emmaus after his resurrection. They do. It has been in front of them for two thousand years.

Before the cross, Jesus taught them about the cross. [1]

But they forgot. They scattered when he was arrested and hid when he was killed. In his resurrection he told them he would send the Holy Spirit to remind them of what he taught. [2]

He gave them keys to his teaching. [3]

The keys to the secret teaching of Jesus are the places in scripture that speak of his death and resurrection!

  1. ± Mt 16:21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
  2. ± Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
  3. ± Mt 16:19-21 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ. 21 ¶ From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
