| God created the heavens and the earth. He created in two sets of three days. [1] On the first three days God created by separating. [2] |

On the second day he separated the waters above from the waters below. [1] [2] |

|
On the third day he separated the dry ground from the waters and grasses, bushes and trees came sprung up. [1] |
|
|
On the second three days God produced things from the things he had formed by separation. [1] |
|
|
He brought forth the sun and stars from light on the fourth day. [1] [2] |
|
|
The fish and the birds were brought forth on the fifth day. [1] [2] |
|
|
Finally, God made animals and man from the dry ground. [1] [2] |
|
|
When he was finished, he finished his record. [1]
