God created the heavens and the earth. On the first three days God created by separating. [1]
On day one, he separated the Light from the dark. [2] [3] On the second day he separated the waters above from the waters below. [4] [5] On the third day he separated the dry ground from the waters and grasses, bushes and trees came sprung up. [6] On the second three days God produced things from the things he had formed by separation. [7] He brought forth the sun and stars from light on the fourth day. [8] [9] The fish and the birds were brought forth on the fifth day. [10] [11] Finally, God made animals and man from the dry ground. [12] [13] God rested on the seventh day. [14] [15] When he was finished, he finished his record. [16]
