The focus of scripture is not on God destroying sin; waiting to strike you dead with every bad thought. It is upon the Son, teaching of the invisible Father through his works, words, life, death, resurrection, and indwelling Spirit. The ONLY way to know the Father is through the Son. [1] |

This will sound like heresy, so listen closely. Jesus did not die on the cross to save you from your sins. He died on the cross as the culmination of the revelation of the Father [1], making him known as both Holy and Love, and you happened to get saved in the process. It is about HIM, not YOU. If you think you are saved, but do not know the Father, then what is the purpose of being saved? | |
We know that if we have seen Jesus we have seen the Father. 'See' is a metaphor for 'understanding'. Here is the catch. The churches have different doctrines about Christ, yet they say they are all good enough. Doctrine is 'teaching'. They are saying that teaching about the Father is not so important! Yet Christ died to make the Father known. The word 'saved' ישע means 'his י flesh ע with the increase of the word ש in his heart' . The one who loves his teaching is saved. [1] |
