Advent Dec 15 - Lk 1:78 []

Morning star

The Morning Star is a symbol of Messiah. When Tamar named her twins (a shadow of the dual-natured Jesus as man and God), she had no idea the God was nudging her to do so.

± Lu 1:78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, ± Lu 1:79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and [in] the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

± Ge 38:29 And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? [this] breach [be] upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez.

± Ge 38:30 And afterward came out his brother, that had the scarlet thread upon his hand: and his name was called Zarah.

Jesus was called 'Dayspring'.

Pharez and Zarah were called 'breaking forth' and 'rising'.

God nudged Isaiah.

± Isa 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. Template:Isa 60:2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

The metaphor is defined by his resurrection.

± Mt 28:1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first [day] of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

It is fulfilled when Christ indwells you.

± 2Pe 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
