The Hebrew word born is 'yalad' ילד . This is read by Notarikon as י(ל)ד meaning 'the hand or work יד of teaching ל. To be born again means to be taught again. You must be born of water and the Spirit. Water represents the word. So we must be taught by the word and the Spirit.
The word father 'ab' אב also means a green shoot, and fruit on a tree. The nature of a Father is to give life. From the word alone we see that the Father gives the first life and the second life. The first and second life are gifts from God, as are the teaching from his Word and Spirit. In Baptism, you are immersed in water/word and raised to the air/Spirit. We now have a pattern to establish the doctrine taught in symbols.
