The believer is torn away from the world to represent Christ.

When there is no one teaching about God, he destroys. Christians teaching maintain the world.

The Christian is a symbol of mercy, having works like rotten rags, yet chosen to represent Christ.

A fisherman was a mariner. The Christian is a fisher of men.

Salt is a pun to 'king' מלך. Kings rules the flesh.

The smoke of the sacrifice was a sweet savour to the Lord. The sacrifice represents the obedience of the Son unto death. When the believer ceases to be obedient, or ceases to teach, he is useless for the purpose for which God called him.
