Ge 2:8 ¶ And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
God made a garden that was separate from the rest of creation, to teach Adam that God had a holy place for him. The garden was also separated from time. Adam knew that his purpose was holy. []
