You’re Not Crazy — You’re Just Not God

📜 You’re Not Crazy — You’re Just Not God

(Tract 3 — The Tree, the Lie, and the Gift)

📖 “The Bible’s been changed.”

If you’ve ever said that, you’re right.

The oldest Hebrew says one thing — but some translations say another.

Take the Garden of Eden.

Your Bible may say “the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.”

But in the earliest form, it’s something else:

“The tree of the opinion of good and evil.”

That changes everything.

🧠 Why does that matter?

Because God doesn’t want your opinion.

He wants to declare what is good, and what is evil.

That was the temptation — not to learn truth, but to decide it for yourself.

And when the text says “the man has become like one of us…”

It’s not a compliment.

It means: “Man now believes he’s like God — able to declare right from wrong.” That lie was strong enough to convince Pharaoh he was divine.

And it’s still with us.

👫 That’s What Adam and Eve Did

Eve followed her instinct:

“It looked good, smelled good, felt good…”

Adam followed his choice:

“I’ll eat it. I’ll decide.”

And from that moment on, we’ve all been declaring our own truth.

💔 But if that’s what broke us, then...

Anything God does to show us we’re not gods — is a gift.

  • To Eve: You’re not in control of life. Even birth comes with pain.
  • To Adam: You want to be a god? Feed yourself. You’re eating My stuff.

We create chaos, suffering, and death — not God.

🌊 Ripples in the Pool

Every time we try to rule ourselves, we disturb the peace God created.

It’s like jumping in a pool:

Your splash sends out ripples. They hit the wall and come back — and when they slap you in the face, you wonder why it hurts.

“I did that.”

But then someone else jumps. Their ripple smacks into you.

“They did that.”

And sometimes you get hit from all directions — a collision of ripples, and you can’t even trace where they came from.

That’s life in a world full of little gods. Everyone jumping, splashing, ruling themselves.

But here’s the truth: every ripple of suffering came from us.

Not one came from Him.

And still… He doesn’t destroy us.

🌪 In the Middle of the Storm, a Whisper

God hasn’t lost control.

He’s not battling the devil for His creation.

This place is perfect — not pain-free, but perfectly suited to wake us up.

It’s the ideal asylum for those who think they’re gods.

We hurt ourselves and each other, until one day we cry out:

“I’m not God.”

And when we do, we don’t find punishment —

We find peace.

✝️ The End of the Lie

When we confess that God alone is God,

That’s when the healing begins.

He doesn’t remove the chaos —

He enters it with us.

And in the middle of it, He gives peace.

You don’t need to be perfect.

You just need to let go of being a god.
