We beheld his glory
▸ ± Pr 25:2 [It is] the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings [is] to search out a matter.
The OT mystery conceals Christ in prophetic riddle. We had the honor of discovering the riddles and seeing that his glory is that he has been involved in all the details of creation from the beginning. John is displaying the mystery and glorifying God through his book. Previously m en could only recount the visible actions of God. Now we can recount the unfathomable riches contained in his mystery revealed.
