Hate []

If you are chopping wood and the ax head flies off and kills someone, if you have not PREVIOUSLY hated him, you may flee to a city of refuge.

The accident was an act of hate because you did not love him. You did not put his safety first.

hate 'sane' שנא - change, tooth (law) שנ separates or reconciles א.

Biblical hate is not the emotional thing associated with it in English. It is merely the act of putting someone second. Esau, who was first son, was put in second position.

He was not the only one, there is a long list of first-made-lasts. It is the prophetic pattern showing how the etrnal Word would become the least of us all and serve us all on the cross.

The Word was 'hated' so that we could be 'loved'; put first.
