- The debates concerning 'sensus plenior' during the last century concluded with a whimpering confession that they could not read the Old Testament the way the Jesus and the NT authors did; wondering if they would ever understand. Can you trust those who admit that they cannot read the Bible properly? How did they become the priests of Evangelicalism? A prominent 'theologian' from Dallas said, while refusing to look, "I will not look at something that is not there, when presented with evidence of the mystery. [1]
