Creepy Crunchies Preface []

Jesus said that you must be like a little child to enter the kingdom [his teaching]. It is a parallel saying to those of the old and new wine, and the old and new cloth. [1] Wine represents grace. In the Old Testament, they did not receive grace, but a promise of it by the symbols. God promised to forgive them when Jesus would die on the cross. They were not saved by the blood of animals. The animals were a promise of the blood of Christ.

Clothing represents works. The actors played a role to teach us of Christ. These are the old works. We learn from their ‘theater’ but are not bound to the script as they were. The new works are those based in the law of Love; Love God and love your neighbor.

To be like a little child means that we do not rely upon our old understanding. We come fresh to the word of God, ready to learn new things. The one who thinks he already knows, cannot learn.

This work introduces foundational principles for interpreting scripture. It draws you into discussions while giving you a new view of the Bible.
