Unlocking the Hidden Wisdom of Scripture
For centuries, believers have studied the Bible through the lens of history and doctrine, trusting in its truth and authority. Yet, Jesus and the apostles read Scripture in a way that went beyond mere history—unveiling a deeper, Christ-centered meaning hidden within the text.
When Jesus walked with His disciples on the road to Emmaus, He opened their eyes to see that all of Scripture speaks of Him (Luke 24:27). Paul called this “God’s hidden wisdom” (1 Cor 2:7), embedded in the Old Testament and waiting to be revealed in the light of Christ.
This site explores that fuller meaning—what theologians call sensus plenior. It is not a rejection of the literal-historical reading, but its completion. Just as the apostles saw Adam as a shadow of Christ, Noah’s Ark as a picture of salvation, and Israel as a prophecy of the Church, we follow the same method to uncover the patterns, symbols, and mysteries God has placed in His Word.
