  2. He pursued us in love and bore the burden of our transgressions, giving His life as the righteous Son. Isaiah 53:4-6, Matthew 20:28
  3. By the mystery of the cross, He exchanged His righteousness for our sin, taking upon Himself the weight of our iniquity. 2 Corinthians 5:21, Galatians 3:13
  4. As the true fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets, He became the curse that we might be redeemed. Romans 5:19, Deuteronomy 21:23
