The ''dalet'' ד is the commandment. It is not the ''rosh'' ר revelation. See the 
difference between the right angle corner on the ''dalet'' and the rounded corner on the ''rosh''.

A commandment <ref>Used as a techincal term</ref> accomplishes something. When God commanded the light to be, the waters to part, and the dry land to appear... they did. <ref>{{bgw| Ge 1}} </ref> This demonstrated that he was God. <ref>{{bgw| Ro 1:19,20  }}  Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them. [{in them: or, to them }] 20  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: [{so … : or, that they may be }] </ref> Likewise when he commanded men with two tablets of stone <ref>{{{bgw| Ex 24:12 }} And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.</ref>, it displayed the character of God, and confronted the universal sin of man. <ref>[[Universal sin of man]]</ref> This demonstrated that he alone is God. 

A revelation <ref>Used as a technical term</ref> is a communication from God intended as a dialog; it contains personality. "Let there be light" has no one to dialog with. "Thou shalt not covet" is also not up for discussion. If the purpose of God was to free an enslaved people, he would have commanded that they be free, they would have been free. But the purpose was to make himself known. Moses was free to dialog about it. <ref>{{bgw| Ex 3:10,11 }}  Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt. 11  And Moses said unto God, Who [am] I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?</ref> <ref>{{bgw| Ex 3:13 }} And Moses said unto God, Behold, [when] I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What [is] his name? what shall I say unto them?</ref> <ref>{{bgw| Ex 4:1 }}  And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee.</ref> <ref>{{bgw| Ex 4:1 }}  And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee.</ref> When presented with a command, observe how God is revealed.When presented with a revelation; dialog with God.
